Dedicated to the memory of Jane Allen

These much-loved pages have been set up to celebrate Jane’s life and memories of time spent with her family and friends. Jane was known by all that knew her as a caring loving Wife, Step Mum, Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Godmother and friend, who was sadly taken from her husband, family and friends far too soon.

Jane had a very kind and warm hearted approach to life, however do not let this fool you, Jane's step son was quick to realise that towing the line was very much the best option! On a number of occasions Jane stepped in to save the day, witnessed by a very proud, gloating husband. Jane's husband witnessed Jane chastising a hotel manager 'trying his best' to diffuse a hotel corridor drunk. The managers best efforts to eradicate the drunk from the corridor at 3AM away from the rudely awoken Jane was met by stern statement of  "Your best is not good enough". Jane was notoriously famous for her firm but driven approach to wanting others to succeed, this lead kindly to a family 'Boot Camp' for young, or not so young members.

Jane was born in Brighton on the 11June1968 and grew to be a confident independent young woman who was successful at all that she did both during her military career and civilian life.  When Jane was not striving to improve herself and others around her, Jane was a lover of exercise (even on Christmas day), family dog walks, baking, gardening, travelling and most importantly, being in the company of loved ones.

Janes working career started in Brighton, working at the Midland Bank. It was not long before Jane was showing an interest in joining the Royal Air Force and pursuing a challenging career. The interest born from being a member of the Combined Cadet Force and an inherited interest in military aircraft from her father, George.

Jane joined the Royal Air Force in 1987 and was based both in the UK and overseas, deploying on a number operational tours to Italy, Iraq, Al Udeid and Afghanistan.

Jane was taken from this earth by a cruel illness that for most would be an extremely frightening experience. Although Jane did have some bad days. Throughout the whole four years, Jane remained, kind, courteous and incredibly strong. Everyone who knew Jane was so proud of how truly resilient and courageous she was. Throughout all manners of treatment and major surgery over a four-year period, Jane did not once complain.

Jane was an inspiration to all that knew her and will be forever remembered for her loving nature and strength.

Please remember and celebrate Janes life by adding memories, funny stories, photos to her tribute pages, forever to be loved and cherished.
